How can you create a talented and empowered team?

There’s too much ego involved in hiring process today. Business leaders want to remain the most dominant figure of their company and tend to choose candidates they feel will remain subordinate to them. That’s no way to build a winning team!

You should hire the most talented people you can find! Look for people who are experts in what they do—people even much more qualified than you to do the job. Who do you want replacing you in ten years?

Choose that true professional who can help you build an amazing team. Then give them the power to take responsibility. It creates a confident associate who will work tirelessly to improve your company. Most importantly, trust them to do the job right.

Too many leaders today want to get their hands on all aspects of the company and make sure the postage stamps are lined up just so. It’s not wise for leaders to get stuck on little details like this! Leaders need to allow time to work ON their business rather than IN it.

If you can hand over the reins and trust your well qualified staff to take over, it will vastly improve the health of your company.
